WEMMS SCHOOL CALENDAR 2020-21
|2nd – 4th September 2020
|INSET Days – Staff only. 2nd- 3rd is annual conference, location tbc.
4th will be staff training day. New students and parents will be
welcome to collect uniform from 11am – 3pm.
|Monday 7th September
|START OF TERM for students. All students in school by 8.30 for assembly at 8.45.|
|Thursday 10th September
|Graduation evening at Wemms at 6pm for 2019-2020 students, 5-7pm.|
|Monday 14th September||Parent coffee morning 11.30am All parents asked to send representative to network with other parents and collect information about forthcoming residential|
|Friday 18th September||Wemms Harvest Festival of Love and Support. Donations of small ‘treat’ items will be donated to the local women’s refuge.|
|Thursday 24st September||Year 5 – 8 will be on day trip to Brooklands Museum. Will leave school at 9 o’clock and will be back at school for 4pm. TBC|
|Monday 28st September||International Day of Languages – MFL celebrating in lessons|
|Monday 12th October||Residential week at Centre Parcs|
|Monday 19th October||INSET DAY
Evidence week for teachers starts

|All parents are invited to a Thanksgiving Lunch with staff and students. 1pm – 3pm School finishes at 3pm TBC|
|Wednesday 2nd December
|School Christmas Box available for posting. Please encourage your son/daughter to write a Christmas card for their peers and each of the teachers. Cards with nice messages do much to give people nice warm fuzzy feelings and are cherished by many staff.|
|Saturday 5th December||Christmas Fayre – All invited

|Staff social 6pm venue to be confirmed. All staff and partners invited to attend. Offspring of secondary age welcome. TBC|
|Thursday 10th December
|School opens at 10am. Christmas Wreath making 11.30am – 1.30pm. Those students who dislike touching natural foliage are requested to bring suitable gloves, no latex.|
|Wednesday 16th December||END OF TERM
School mailbox opened and delivered during morning. Christmas film with popcorn at 1.30pm. End of term 4.00pm
Please wear Christmas jumper and hats. Bring in a £1 and donations will go to chosen charity.
